Direct current (commonly known as DC) is a form of electricity in which current moves only in one direction. Although most appliances and equipment are designed to use AC electricity, PV modules produce energy as DC electricity.

This course will teach you how to:

  • Identify the fundamental components of DC electricity including: voltage, current, resistance, power, and energy
  • Identify series and parallel DC circuits and understand how they function  
  • assess safety considerations regarding DC electricity

This course is part of the Grid-Connected PV Systems training pathways. Before you enrol in this course, you should complete the Workplace Health and Safety course.
